One-therapist only Marriage and Couples Counselling
David Rubinstein has gained a wealth of experience over the past 17 years working with couples who have had varying degrees of relationship experience, from couples who have only known each other for a few months or years, to mature couples, who have developed more entrenched relationship patterns. David’s private counselling practice has focused on both married and common-law couples, heterosexual and same-sex couples, and couples with mixed ethnic and differing cultural backgrounds.
A skilled practitioner, David is an attentive listener, and a practical therapist who will help you understand the relationship dynamic that has evolved since you have been a couple. Your understanding of that couple dynamic is the foundation for relationship renewal. Once you know more about how you relate as a couple, you can begin to make changes that will help you move forward. You will learn that you can be emotionally connected, even when you do not agree. You will begin to know that being a couple feels like you are a team. There are two of you in the relationship, and you both count equally.
Although couple-to-couple therapy is the basis of the Couple Enrichment ApproachTM, working with David alone is an excellent alternative, especially if you cannot invest the time (or money) needed to attend a 3-day couple-to-couple, private Counselling Intensive Retreat.
We encourage you to consider bi-weekly marriage or couples counselling sessions with David, if you both of these two criteria:
- you live within an hour’s driving distance from our Caledon, Ontario office,
- you cannot attend our one-couple-only 3-day Couple Intensive Retreat.
Couples who choose weekly or bi-weekly counselling with David, typically meet with him for one-and-a-half to two-hour sessions. Counselling sessions are held in Caledon, 15 minutes south of Orangeville, and about an hour north of Toronto. First-time appointments are scheduled directly with David by calling toll free at 877-897-2333. It helps speed up the process if you first fill out our inquiry form.
How Will You Benefit from Couples or Marriage Counselling with David?
Couples who seek marriage or couples counseling services are often at various stages of disconnect. While some may be having more difficulty than others, one or both partners may be holding on to just the slightest hope that perhaps marriage counseling can turn things around.
Some couples who seek counseling are the best of friends, and often compatibly intimate, but feel that something is missing in their relationship. Perhaps work and family challenges, or personal life choices have kept them from expressing their love fully.
Whatever brings you to couples or marriage counseling, you will be glad you made the decision to get your relationship back on track.
